Singer and researcher Linda Radtke, dressed in period costume, will be joined by pianist John Lincoln to perform from her Civil War Songbook. Linda searched the Vermont Historical Society archives to find songs from the Civil War era, and after she performed these songs for the first time at the 2008 History Expo, people brought her even more songs. Ms. Radtke will take listeners through Vermont’s history, using songs that Vermonters published in their communities. This program also honors the Lincoln Bicentennial. All are welcome, the performance is free.
